How to start the process of filling my loan application?
To apply for a loan from Upwards, simply download the app from Google Play Store. Once it’s installed, open the app and log in using your Facebook or Gmail account. You can now start filling the details and complete your loan application!
Why do I have to log in with my social accounts only?
Logging in through social accounts is easy and you don’t have to fill information to create a new account. Also, Gmail and Facebook login are extremely secure! Upwards will never post on behalf of you or obtain your personal information without your permission.
I have logged in, but I’m not able to move forward. What do I do?
This usually happens if you log in through Facebook. Your email ID might not be registered on Facebook or you might not have given the permission to access your email ID.
If you are not able to move forward after logging in, please send us your email ID at email@example.com. Our team will create your account.
What if I get any other error while log in?
If you encounter any other error while logging in, simply mail us at firstname.lastname@example.org. We will get back to you as soon as possible!
What is a pre-approved amount?
The pre-approved loan amount is the amount that’s generated based on your basic details. Kindly note that this is not the amount approved for your loan. The final approved amount may or may not be different than your pre-approved amount.
My company ID is not available. What do I upload?
Uploading your company ID is optional. In case you do not have a company ID, you can upload your latest salary slip instead.
My salary slip is not available. What do I upload?
Sorry, user! You cannot proceed further on your application without the salary slip as you will not be eligible for a loan. You can request your HR Department to provide your salary slip.
Can I edit my salary if i have entered it wrong?
Once you have submitted your salary details, you cannot go back and change you salary amount. The application allows you to input data only once. Therefore, ensure you enter your data correctly.
My Aadhar Card is not available. What do I upload?
Sorry, user! You cannot proceed further on your application without your Aadhar Card. You will not be eligible for a loan.
Which documents are valid for the address proof?
You can upload your Aadhar card, passport, electricity bill, water bill, gas bill or rent agreement as a valid address proof. Remember to ensure that the address on your proof is the same as the one you have entered as your current address.
My bank statement is not available. What do I upload?
You cannot go further in your application without uploading the bank statement. To submit your application you have to upload your bank statement for the last 6 months in a .pdf format only.
How do I upload my bank statement?
To upload your bank statement, click on upload and select the bank statement file. Make sure the file in a PDF format. The app does not accept JPEG, PNG or any other format.
What if I do not have a particular document at the moment?
Sorry, user! You cannot proceed further on your application without uploading all the compulsory documents. You will not be eligible for a loan. Kindly wait until you have all your documents available, or upload alternative documents if there is an option for a particular KYC category.
Why do I need to enter so many details?
As per RBI norms, it is mandatory for all customers to provide these basic KYC details in order to obtain a personal loan.
Can I go back and edit the details on the previous step before submission?
Once you submit your details on a particular step, you cannot go back to edit your details. Please be careful and ensure you have entered your details correctly in the first time.
What if I’m stuck at any point and cant move forward?
If you are stuck at any point of your application, simply close the app completely and then try opening it again. If the error persists, please send us a mail along with screenshots of the error on email@example.com.
I have an issue uploading the documents. How do I upload the documents?
If you are facing issues while uploading your documents on the Upwards app, you can upload them on this link instead: http://web.go-upwards.com/. Kindly ensure that you log in using the same account as you did on the Upwards app.
What if I want to re-apply after uninstalling the app in the middle of the application?
In case you uninstall the Upwards app in between the application process and wish to apply again, simply reinstall the app and log in using the same Gmail or Facebook account as you did the first time. You can resume your application from where last left off.
Why do you need a copy of my signature as part of the application process?
A copy of your signature is required to digitally sign and validate your eNACH setup. The eNACH facility is not valid without the user’s signature.
I am a self-employed person. Am I eligible for a loan?
Sorry, user! Currently, only salaried employees are eligible for a loan from Upwards.
How long will it take for my loan to be approved?
Once you submit your complete application, you will be approved within 24 – 48 hours. To get faster approval, ensure you have correctly entered your details and have uploaded the requested documents at each step.
What happens after I submit my application?
After you submit your application, the Upwards team reviews your documents and profile to verify its authenticity. You will be informed about your loan approval status within 24-48 hours of submitting your application. You can also check the status of your application on the Upwards app.
What happens if my application is rejected?
We regret that your loan application at Upwards has been rejected at this time, and the same would reflect in your app.
If you wish to re-apply for a loan, you can retry after 3 months. Meanwhile, you can improve your social score by referring your friends and family and earning up to Rs. 2,000 per referral!
