How do I know that I am approved?

You will receive an e-mail and SMS once your loan application is approved. You can also check your application status on the Upwards app.

What is the next step after my loan is approved?

Once your loan is approved, you will find your approved loan amount on your app homepage. You can select a loan amount equal to or less than the approved amount using the slider.

You will see the EMI and tenure change based on the amount you select. Next, you will have to give some more basic information, complete an eNACH auto-debit set up and do a bank statement verification.

After you have completed the above steps correctly, your loan will be disbursed in 24 to 48 hours.

How is the approved loan amount decided?

Your approved amount is determined based on the details and documents provided by you, as well as your CIBIL score. To increase your chances of approval, ensure you provide correct details and submit genuine documents.

How to select the loan amount?

On your app homepage, you can select a loan amount equal to or less than the approved amount using the given slider. You will see the EMI and tenure change based on the amount you select. Select your desired loan amount and click on Next.

I am unable to receive OTP for mobile verification. What do I do?

If you do not receive an OTP, kindly wait for 30 seconds. You will receive an option to resend OTP. Click on Resend OTP and retry again.

What are the other documents required during pickup?

During a document pickup, make sure you have your signed loan agreement, a photocopy of all your KYC documents (PAN card & Aadhar card) and a cheque ready beforehand. You will receive a call from the Upwards team before your documents are picked up.

I have not yet received a call regarding documents pickup.

Is it compulsory to do an eNACH and BSV?

Yes. It it compulsory to complete your eNACH and Bank Statement Verification. You loan will not be disbursed without completing these steps.

How to physically complete your NACH setup?

You will receive a call from the Upwards team to schedule a pickup for your physically signed copy of the NACH. You have to provide a copy of your loan agreement along with a photocopy for your KYC documents.

Why do I need to do an eNACH setup?

eNACH is done to set up an auto-debit for EMI. Your EMI will be debited automatically every month from your bank account.

What if my bank is not in the list for banks for eNACH?

In case your bank is not in the list of banks for eNACH you will have to provide a physically signed copy of the NACH. A pickup will be scheduled based on the date and time selected by you. You will also receive a call from the Upwards team regarding further instruction for the document pickup.

What if my NACH is not registered?

Your loan will not be disbursed until your NACH registration is complete. You can complete your eNACH on the Upwards app or provide a physically signed NACH in case your eNACH does not work.

What is the turnaround time for NACH registration?

It takes only 5-10 minutes to complete your eNACH on the Upwards App. If you are unable to complete your NACH on the app, then you will have to provide a physical NACH with might take upto 2-3 working days.

Why do I need to do a bank statement verification?

A bank statement verification of your salary account is necessary to verify that your bank statement is genuine, and also to speed up the disbursal process.

Why is my bank statement verification taking so long?

For some banks, the bank statement verification might take upto 5-10 minutes. Please ensure that you are in a strong internet connectivity area prior to attempting this step.

You are asking for my bank account details. How safe is it?

Upwards uses Perfios for net banking access. All the bank processes on the Upwards app are 100% safe and are encrypted with high-level security. Your login ID and passwords are never saved by Upwards.

I don’t have net banking. What to do?

If you don’t have net banking, you will have to physically submit your documents to complete your NACH and bank statement verification.

How long will it take for my loan to be disbursed?

Your loan will be disbursed in 24 – 48 hours of completing your post-approval steps. Enter correct and genuine data for faster disbursement. Physical paperwork takes more time for disbursement.

On which email id will I receive my loan agreement?

You will receive your loan agreement on your work email id. In case you haven’t given a work email id it will be sent on your social email id.

Can I change or cancel my loan request?

If you wish to change or cancel your loan request inform Upwards by mailing us at help@go-upwards.com or call on the helpline mentioned on the Upwards app.

Can I edit the details after submission?

Once you submit your details on one step you cannot go back to edit it. Hence make sure you enter the data correctly the first time.

I uninstalled the app/ changed my phone after application submission. How can I retrieve my account?

To retrieve your account simply reinstall the Upwards app and login using the same account as you did the first time. You will find your application status at the same point as you had left it earlier.

My loan was approved but I had to fill the application again. How will I retrieve my approved loan?

You had to fill the application again because you might have logged in using another account. Log out from the app and log in again using the account through which you had submitted your account earlier. You will find your approved amount on the homepage.

My loan is taking too long for disbursal even after submitting the documents. What should I do?

Sometimes, due to a glitch at from our partner NBFCs, your loan might take a little longer for disbursal even after submitting the documents. This is a very rare case. Please be patient. Upwards will do its best to solve the issue as soon as possible!

What if my loan application is rejected?

We regret that your loan application at Upwards was rejected. If you wish to re-apply, you can retry after 3 months. You can also improve your social score for next application by referring to friends & family and earn up to Rs. 2,000 per referral!

Why was my loan application rejected?

Your loan application was rejected for one of the following reasons:

  1. You provided false information about your income and obligations
  2. You have applied for an amount which you cannot afford and comfortably repay
  3. Mismatch of information provided by you on our app and during telephonic verification
  4. Past EMI payment (credit) history is not up to the mark

 What is bank statement verification process?

Bank statement verification process is a process conducted by banks and NBFCs to ensure faster processing of your loan application.  This is also done to ensure the authenticity of your application and to ensure that you have not issued a fake bank statement.
